How do I deal with loss and pick up the pieces?

Question:
What would be a good suggestion in dealing with the loss of someone you love dearly?How does one start over, how does one know which road to take, when the future, as one thought it would be, completely changes? One thing is for sure, Gos has proven that he is in control.. but picking up the peices is not an easy thing to do. Submitted by: TG - Markle, IN

How can today's Church be more relevant?

Question: I keep reading that church attendance is declining across the country (maybe not here). Curious to know what the Pastors think about why this is? What is the biggest problem and what needs to be done to change this?

Is there such a church...?

Question: Are there any churches locally that teach that in order to walk with Christ one must lay down his life and be fully submitted to the Holy spirit leading to overcome. That is open to the possibility that spiritual gifts are real and that salvation is a walk< not that we earn anything , just that we progress from salvation into sanctification and beyond this to be used by God for whatever purpose he has for us? Making the case for religion...

Question: I struggle with making the case for church in my life. I read the Bible, and while I don’t take it literally word for word, I try to be a good person to others around me. But church seems too formal and it seems that people just go to be seen like it’s a social event. Maybe I’ve never been able to find a church that seems to fit. Is going to church necessary? Does it make you a bad person to not go? How can it help? It just seems to me that how you live your life is more important. -- (B.A. from Fort Wayne)

Many types of religion...is it too confusing?

Question: Why do you think there are so many different types of religions? Isn’t it as simple as “treat others like you would want to be treated?” But, there’s all these different types that believe different things and it gets confusing. Thanks. (A.L. from Fort Wayne)

I want my kids to feel different about church than I did...how do I introduce them to faith?

Question: What is an appropriate age to introduce my kids to formal religion, and how do I best do it? I don’t subscribe to the same religion in which my parents raised me, and I don’t want my kids to feel the same as I did about religion when I was a kid…forced and not for me. - (T.B from Fort Wayne)

Is God looking out for everybody?

Question: We always hear about survivors of tragedies saying "God must have been looking out for me." Does that mean that God was not looking out for the other unfortunate ones who were killed or badly injured? - (J.P. from Fort Wayne)
